It has been a while...

Well let see, I have started Weight Watchers and I have lost 23.5 lbs. Go me!!! I have also rediscovered Hungry Girl Cookbooks. Today was my first day to try them out, I cooked breakfast (Egg McMuggin'), Dinner (Cap'n Crunch Chicken), and Dessert (Cup o' Chocolate Bread Pudding).

Here are my reviews or thoughts~Egg McMuggin' I didn't stir it enough the 1st time. It was a little over done on the bottom and under done on the top. I liked most of it...runny eggs not my thing. Cap'n Crunch Chicken Loved every bite!!! I did have enough points to eat both servings. (I might not lose any this week!) Cup o' Chocolate Bread Pudding This was really good and really easy! I took a picture.

Yummy in my tummy!!!

Devil's Food Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

Same recipe as cake ball...Bakerella "thank you"

I mixed everything in a gallon size ziploc, then layed it flat and pushed all the air out. I placed it in the freezer for a couple hours. I cut through the bag to make them into squares.

I love making these!!!

Second try

Comments (0) | Friday, April 23, 2010

Here is my second try, I made these for a co-workers daughter birthday.
I tried to get fancy, I cut butterflies using a small cookie cutter.

1. I used a chocolate cake and cream cheese icing...much easier to work with. (I don't know if it was the cake or the icing)

2. I used yellow cake and vanilla icing...tried to break apart when they were dipped.

With Bakerella's recipe...I made Strawberry and Cream (white chocolate).
Original
1 box red velvet cake mix (cook as directed on box for 13 X 9 cake)
1 can cream cheese frosting (16 oz.)
1 package chocolate bark (regular or white chocolate)
My version
1 box strawberry cake mix
1 can strawberry frosting
1 package white chocolate bark

For the pink topping I used the left over white chocolate bark mixed with 2 drops of red food coloring.
